“Coaching with Alex has been the best investment in myself in 2023! I have been running for a few years, but was hitting a plateau on my own, and knew I would need some guidance to achieve my speed goals. Alex has been an incredible coach to work with – not only did her plan provide me the push that I needed to grow, but she was so supportive every step of the way! I really love how personalized my training is, and how extremely responsive Alex was to helping me make adjustments to my training or answering any questions or comments. With Alex’s help, I have grown so much as a runner in only a few months, and was able to get a new PB in my 5k. I have really enjoyed working with GRS and cannot wait to continue into the new year!”

“Deciding to work with Coach Gaby was one of the greatest decisions I made for my running journey. I’d been running inconsistently for a couple of years now but never actually took it seriously until I signed up for my first half marathon. From our first call I knew that Gaby truly cared about every detail of my journey and the progress that I was looking to make.

I constantly felt cared for and like my training was specifically tailored to my fitness level and goal of running my first half! I faced a knee injury scare and was nervous it would throw off my training and hard work but Gaby assured me that with the proper plan I’d be just fine. I felt confident and empowered through my entire time to go run stronger and I’m forever grateful I started my consistent journey here. Her expertise and guidance is what helped me PR, build my mileage, and absolutely crush my first half marathon. Forever grateful for Gaby and her guidance!”

“Working with Gaby has been the best investment and choice I could have made. After struggling with chronic shin splints and not being able to run pain free for two years, I was at my wits end and came to Gaby desperate.

Right away, Gaby listened and provided me with options and a plan to get me back to running and playing my favorite sport, pain free. She has always provided so much support, knowledge and encouragement. I have learned so much from my time working with her. You can really tell how much she cares about her work and also her clients.

Both her strength and return to run programming have helped me immensely. I can say this is the strongest I’ve truly felt in a long time (ever maybe?). After two and a half long years, I have finally been able to begin my return to run pain free. And I definitely would not be in this position if it wasn’t for Gaby, her programs and her support.

Gaby has been such an integral part of my journey. I am SO grateful for her and am blessed to have her on my team. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, caring, understanding, blunt (in a gentle way) and supportive – Gaby is your girl.”

Gaby’s ability to create structured, well-rounded training plans that challenge me while considering my individual needs has been invaluable. “After many running injuries over the past 1.5 years, I felt frustrated, hopeless, and ready to give up on running altogether. Meeting Gabby and Pete at GoRunStronger changed everything. They were supportive and encouraging, assuring me that with a conservative and thorough approach, they could help me get back to running safely. Throughout the program, they’ve been amazing—consistently checking in, providing feedback, and tailoring my plan as needed. Since starting the strength program, I’ve had almost no pain from my hip labral tear, which had been my biggest concern about returning to running. I am so grateful to have found GoRunStronger. They’ve made running feel possible again, without the fear of needing surgery.”

“GRS has been awesome! I have been running since high school but during college, I developed bilateral Haglund’s deformities/insertional Achilles tendinitis. This made regular training a challenge and ultimately sidelined me from competition. After graduating, I switched to triathlon for a few years to remain active but even with the lower-impact activities mixed in, regular running became a challenge so I ultimately opted for surgery.

After recovery, I was hesitant to go back to running full-time as I didn’t want my Achilles issues to return so I started training for triathlons again but my heart was still with running. My physical therapist suggested I try GRS and it has been such a great experience! Having a coach to slowly increase mileage/intensity has made me feel confident in my body’s ability to run again. The runner-specific strength training has been a game changer too. I feel better on my runs than I have in years and am doing things like plyometric strength work that I didn’t think I would be capable of after my long-term injury. I’m so grateful for the GRS team and am excited to continue on this journey!”

Iftach is one of my favorite people to coach because he is consistent, dedicated and hard working. His natural running talent combined with his work ethic is not something you come by often and I love watching him crush workouts and progress with training. In Chicago, he ran 3:09 which was a 23 minute PR from his last marathon just 6 months earlier. It has been amazing to see him take so much time off his marathon and continue to chase big goals. Sub 3 coming soon!”

I started running in December 2021 and found out very quickly that I love the sport. I started doing half marathons and even marathons but without any professional training. In February 2024, I was introduced to Eve, and she built me a running program that fit my level and my schedule. She added slower, faster, and interval runs in my training. My goal was to run a faster marathon, and she made that happen! I would recommend Eve to anyone who runs, doesn’t matter how fast or how far they run. She explains the process and is always available to answer questions.”

“Training with Eve has truly been a game-changer for me. From the very beginning, she took the time to understand my goals, challenges, and what drives me. Her personalized training plan not only pushed me physically but also kept me on track when motivation dipped. What I value most is her unwavering support—whether it’s a quick message checking in after a tough workout or helpful tips on adjusting my plan when life gets hectic. Her deep knowledge of running techniques, recovery, and injury prevention made me feel safe pushing my limits and gave me the confidence to keep striving for improvement. Through every challenging workout and moment of doubt, Eve was always there with the right words of encouragement. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve hit milestones I once thought were out of reach—both physically and mentally—and, more importantly, I have loved running even more. If you’re looking for a coach who genuinely cares and will be with you every step of the way, I couldn’t recommend Eve more highly!”

“Dr. Gaby has been an instrumental figure in helping keep me on the field throughout my baseball career. Not only has she helped me rehab various injuries over the last few years but also helped me to better understand how to take care of my body and prevent injuries in the future. Dr. Gaby has been incredibly supportive both on and off the field during my career and I would certainly recommend anybody to work with her due to her extensive knowledge and experience with a wide array of people and athletes.”

“I started running last September and completed my first race by the end of 2023 and had the goal of completing a 10k and half marathon by the end of 2024. Unfortunately, a month prior to my 10k (March 2024), I hurt my foot and was out of the gym and running for 2 months. I tried resting it but when I tried to come back, I kept reinjuring my foot and could never run more than 5 miles when I was preciously running 6+. I was so frustrated and decided to reach out to the Go Run Stronger team. I’ve been working with Eve and Kristine and this is the longest I’ve been able to run without having to stop due to my injury. I’ve learned so much about how to lift weights to actually support my runs rather than hinder them and how to properly work towards my goals rather than burn myself out prematurely. Eve and Kristine have both been super supportive and available with any questions or concerns I have. Anytime I message them with even the smallest concerns, they’ve been so receptive and incredibly helpful! I cannot thank them enough!”

Pete and Gaby make an incredible team. I started working with them as I aimed to return to running after a 10-year hip injury. Gaby took on the role of my running coach, while Pete became my strength coach.

So far, I’ve noticed improvements in my overall strength, balance, and coordination. I look forward to my workouts, which have greatly complemented my busy life as a mother of two with another on the way.

They have been incredibly encouraging, kind, and responsive. Pete has adapted my strength training to suit my changing needs throughout the various trimesters. I’m excited to maintain my fitness throughout my pregnancy!”

“Working with Sweezey for strength coaching is fantastic. She makes me feel incredibly comfortable and confident with lifting in the gym. Her fun and positive attitude make every interaction enjoyable, and her insightful support through pain or injury has been invaluable. Having her on my team gives me tremendous peace of mind and motivates me to push my limits. Working with Alex for run coaching has been a game-changer for my training, especially after struggling with my first half marathon and barely being able to walk afterwards. This time, I’m confident that I’m training effectively, thanks to Alex’s ability to adapt my plan based on my injury and sickness. Her unwavering support and encouragement make all the difference, keeping me motivated and on track.”

“I have been running for almost 14 years. Never have I worked this hard and ramped up mileage at this rate. At the same time, never have I had this much enjoyment training solo or felt so refreshed (not sore, not exhausted, no heavy legs) after each day of exercise. I attribute all of this to Coach Go and Coach Sweezy’s styles, plans, consistent coaching, motivation, communication between each other, and support. I’m so glad to be part of the GRS community!”

“I’m a true believer in the Go Run Stronger process. Coach Sweezy’s strength plan is incredible, enabling me to become a stronger runner and athlete. Same can be said about Coach Go’s running plan, which has the perfect balance of easy running with speed work to keep me motivated as I train for a marathon.”

I started this year barely being able to run a mile. Now, in August of 2024, I’m running 10+ miles at a time. Something I never thought possible for myself at the beginning of the year. I’m excited to run my first marathon in October and can’t wait to see what else I can achieve moving forward with the support of Alex and the GRS team.

I’ve always had the goal of running a marathon. In January of 2024, I started running regularly for really the first time in my life… but quickly got discouraged when I experienced severe shin splints, trying to do too much too fast. That’s when I set out looking for a coach who was familiar with bone stress injuries that could guide me through my first marathon build. I started working with Coach Alex in April of 2024 and through specialized programming she has helped me not only through my injury but in growing my mental strength as a beginner runner as well.

“I started running as a way to feel closer to my dad, who was an avid runner and passed away last November. And a few months after completing my first marathon in his memory, I came to Gaby in February 2024 with what I soon discovered was a hip labrum tear and was devastated. But with Gaby’s help, we worked for a few months to build muscle and slowly reintroduce running pain free. I am now doing 13 mile long runs and reintroducing speed workouts! I cannot thank Gaby enough! She is truly a coach who cares about your goals as an athlete and a person! She tailors your workouts and runs to meet your individual goals, and gives you the moral support you need to see them through!”

Before working with Kristine at Go Run Stronger, I couldn’t even run a mile without sharp pain from shin splints. Running has always been a big part of my life, so being sidelined by that pain was incredibly frustrating.

Kristine changed everything for me. She didn’t just help me recover; she designed a training plan that strengthened my legs, restored my confidence, and included workouts that I genuinely enjoyed. Kristine listened to my story and tailored the program to fit my specific needs, regularly checking in to see how I was feeling with the new workouts.

Now, I feel stronger than ever and am ready to take on the 2024 Chicago Marathon this October!

Huge thanks to coach Eve and Pete for guiding me through a balanced marathon training plan. Due to them, I was able to PR my marathon time from 4:18 to 3:57 for the SF marathon. In 2023, I struggled with a training plan and got injured 5 weeks out from the race. The climbs felt impossible, and I had to walk some portions. I hit my wall hard on mile 20 and limped to the finish. Fast forward to 2024, I had a minor injury that Pete was able to help diagnose and advise me on, and I arrived at the start line healthy. The climbs felt easy, and I zoomed up the hills. I finished strong with a negative split and achieved all my goals. This wouldn’t be possible without Eve’s constant encouragement and Pete’s mentorship. The two of them were constantly answering my questions and hopping on calls to discuss the “why’s” behind running and strength training. They were understanding when I had busy weeks and encouraging when I had the long 18/19/20 mile long runs. I would highly recommend coaching with Eve and Pete for anyone with a busy schedule who wants a fun and supporting coaching team.”

I got connected with Gaby for physical therapy after 2.5 years of foot pain and limited function from overuse injuries. As someone who loves the outdoors and a physical challenge, my injury became a major problem that prevented me from taking on new challenges like my first half ironman.

Over the course of six months, Gaby helped me go from not being able to walk without some discomfort to running 2-3 miles without any pain. In fact, this past June, I was able to complete a week-long 75-mile hike through the Sonoran Desert, which helped bring awareness to the humanitarian crisis at our southern border.

Whether you are looking for a run coach or a physical therapist, Gaby is your person. Besides her knowledge and attention to detail, she really does take the time to listen to your story and work with you on an individual basis. Also, if you’re like me and want variety in your training routine, she does a wonderful job of mixing up your workouts to keep things fun and engaging”

I started working with Alex at GRS to get through my persistent shin issues and run longer distances injury free. Just after a month, I’ve been able to overcome some shin issues and have gotten stronger using Alex’s training plans and Gaby’s shin exercises on the GRS Instagram. I’ve gained the confidence to work through injuries with Alex’s guidance and look forward to continue working together toward my long-standing goal of a half marathon!”

“As a high school runner, my team doesn’t do strength training or plyometric work on a regular basis. I decided to start working with Gaby when I was dealing with a few microinjuries after the cross country season, and I’ve been completely healthy since! She’s been extremely thorough about identifying and addressing my form imbalances. In our time working together, she has helped me create a personalized strength plan that complements my training and racing schedule. Aside from preventing injuries, Gaby’s exercises have also helped me improve my speed in shorter events. This past track season, I dropped 10 seconds off my mile and 4 seconds off my 800! Highly recommend her program to anyone looking to get faster anrd build durability.”

Gaby has been a great coach. I first discovered her on Instagram about a year ago while I was in physical therapy school and getting into running. As a physical therapist student, I was always searching for the best exercises for runners and athletes on social media, and Gaby kept showing up on my feed, which made me realize how knowledgeable and respected she is in the online rehab community. As my passion for running continued to grow, I knew I needed Gaby as my coach.

After recovering from a knee injury following my first full marathon, I wasn’t sure if I could run a half marathon in under 2 hours. But with patience and the support of everyone at Go Run Stronger, I overcame that injury. With just a couple of months of training, I was able to run again and achieve my goal. Now I know that I can accomplish a lot, and I’m excited for the future with the GRS team.

My goal is to keep improving my running abilities and learn from Gaby, who is both a great coach and a therapist whom I aspire to be like one day.”

“Eve has been such an amazing running coach. I started running competitively as a child but fell out of running shape when I was a young adult. For years, I’ve been dabbling in racing again but was missing my goal times. Due to my busy work/schedule, I needed a coach to structure my training program and keep me motivated; this is exactly what Eve did and more!! Eve is such an inspiring, supportive, and challenging coach! She knows exactly how to guide you so that you meet your goals, for me, that was qualifying for the Boston marathon despite it being my first full marathon ever. Eve’s constant encouragement and daily communication helped me achieve my goal! I’m still in shock that I was able to do it and it would not have been possible without Eve! She is so talented and I am excited to keep working with her to tackle new goals!”

“About 2 years ago I ran my first marathon and was hooked on the running culture and community! But I also love powerlifting and had absolutely no idea how to structure a running plan to get faster while still lifting heavily & frequently. Enter coaches Eve and Pete! Since I started working with them in February, I have blown past all of my goals. Pete has helped my strength get as high (if not higher) than it’s ever been, and the way Eve has structured my running training has exponentially improved my speed over short and long distances! I can’t wait to continue working with the GRS team and see the hard work pay off as the summer approaches.”

“I’ve been working virtually with Dr. Gaby since the New Year for virtual physical therapy to rehab a stubborn running injury that wouldn’t go away. I was working on the cruise ship and it was starting to interfere with my flexibility and strength as a dancer alongside my running goals. Gaby was so accommodating to find a way to meet virtually with me and get me feeling so much stronger. Once I got home, I switched over to run/strength coaching to work on my running goals for this year. I work with Gaby for run coaching and Sweezey for strength coaching and I couldn’t be happier.

I know I am already so much stronger. It has also positively impacted my dancing as well because of all the single leg exercises. This team has gotten me running pain free again, listens to every detail, empowers me, and really helps me with having a plan. I can’t speak highly enough about this team. I am so glad I get to work virtually with them.”
